InMotion earphones are in fact made by Etymotic Research technology they deliver a perfect combination of near-perfect sound reproduction and dead-quiet noise isolation. While musicians, audiophiles and acoustic engineers have utilized this (ER) technology since the mid 80’s, it is now available to enthusiasts anywhere with the introduction of the new inMotion earphones.
Similar in appearance to Altec Lansing’s iM716s (iLounge rating: B+), the black iM616s step down on price and audio quality: they’re touted as similar in clarity and slightly better in frequency response than Etymotic’s ER-6i, but we found them brighter than the ER-6i with identical triple flanges; they sounded better with foams. Thicker cords than the ER-6is create more noise in the buds when you move. But they’re nice-looking, and come with a hard case.

You can use the Altec IM series earphones on all iPods, MP3 players, & PSP etc

They’re touted as similar in clarity and slightly better in frequency response than Etymotic’s ER-6i, but we found them brighter than the ER-6i with identical triple flanges; they sounded better with foams.

These were selling for $279, you will not find comparable earphones even in the $300-400 price range, be quick as stock is limited. The same model by Etymotic ER-6i is RRP $299.
